PARTICIPATION AND ELIGIBILITY:
Participation is open to anyone 18 year of age or older.
Minors are eligible to participate with a parent or
legalguardian signature
on the release form. A completed entry form, waiver,and entry fee must be received no later than the published entry date. “Allparticipants represent that they are physically and
mentally competent andfit
and able to participate. By entering, all participants agree to assume allrisks of personal injury, death, and damage to or loss of property andfurther agree to indemnify and hold "Ride the Bull"
tournament organizers, volunteers, sponsors, officers, members, and agents,harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, andcauses of action resulting directly or indirectly from
participation.”
PRE-REGISTRATION
AND PRE-TOURNAMENT MEETING:
Each contestant encouraged pre-register before the date of the Tournament. Registration will be open through
the Pre-Tournament Meeting and Steak Dinner at 7:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 and on Saturday morning from 5:30 until 11am at Bridgeside Marina
Pavillion in Grand Isle, LA. Attendance at the Pre-Tournament Meeting is optional. At the Meeting, tournament directors will go over the rules,
boundaries, restrictions
and whatever concerns we feel should beaddressed. You can also pick up your shirts at the meeting. If you do not pre-register, we can not
guaranty your shirt size will be available.
ENTRY
FEES: $45 per person if you re-register online by August 15, 2012. Registration at the Tournament
is $50 per person.
Entry Fees includes a Tournament T-Shirt as well as a Friday night steak dinner, Lunch at the
pavilion on Saturday, Safety vest and bib numbers that must be warn at all times when
fishing the tournament.
Please specify size of shirt size at the time of
registering. If you are ordering any additional shirts please include theappropriate extra amount ($20 per) and the sizes desired.
LEGAL
FISHING TIME / BOUNDRIES: fishing from safelight shot gun start until 3:00pm on August 18, 2011. All fish must be caught in accordance
with LA state law, and
the following tournament
rules. Only waters inside Caminada Pass (from the Bouy at the entrance to the pass to the Pole platform on the east side of
the Grand Isle Bridge are eligible. (legal fishing time
and weigh-in local
subject to change) There may be additional restrictions based on the ongoing construction of the New Bridge. The
final boundries will be identified at the Friday night meeting.
WEIGH IN: Weigh in will be open during fishing hours
on the dock at Bridge Side Marina specified at the Friday Night Meeting.All Competitors may catch and keep only 1 redfish over 27 inches. Competitors may catch, weigh and release an unlimited number of redfish in accord
with LDWF regulations.
Any fishermen who has called the wiegh boat or a tournament chase boat by the 3:00pm cutoff time on August 18, 2011 to be
allowed to weigh in
their catch. If an angler calls after the deadline,the catch will not qualify. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Officialtime will be kept by the Tournament Director on the
weigh in boat. Anglers
are strongly urged not to wait until the last minute to submit theircatch for weigh-in. All fish submitted for weigh-inmust be fresh and caught that tournament day. The weigh master will makedecisions on accepting fish for weigh-in, their decision is final. Any attemptto enter fraudulent catch, exchanging
catches, tamper with catch, or tohamper or threaten any official of the tournament will result in immediatedisqualification. Only authorized persons will be allowed in the stations. Fishwill be weighed in the order in
which they are checked in. Please provide anlabeled icechest or fishbag for your individual fish while they are in queue tobe weighed. The largest fish will be determined byweight. In the event of a tie, the first fish entered will be considered thewinner,
and the other will be dropped to the next position. (Redfish will be bent, and loosened straight before being measured with a pinched tail to ensure they are 27"
or longer.) Frozen, spoiled, gutted or mutilated fish will not be eligible for entry.
PAYOUT: $20
of each entry fee will be added to "the Purse" and will be paid out as follows

If
there are fewer than 10 Bullreds weighed, honorable mentioned prizes will be awarded for heaviest redfish weighed until
all ten prizes are awarded. There will also be a special prize for the largest redfish caught on a fly rod
with a fly. Prizes will rotate till all are gone, if there are remaining prizes they will
be awarded by doorprize drawing. You must be present to win any tournament prize.
LEGAL TACKLE / BAIT: Any hook and line combination of artificial tackle, flys,live
and or dead bait is allowed.
PADDLE-CRAFT
ONLY: no trolling motors / gas engines / “mother ships” - all paddlecraft will be exclusively human powered
for the duration of the time on the water. No engines (electric or gas), sails, or towing assistance from motor or sail
vessels will be permitted during fishing or traveling from the launch area. All fish must be hooked and boated from
the paddle craft; no beaching the kayak to fish.
WATER COURTESY: Do your best not to
disturb someone else’s fishing area, by encroachment, or noise. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
PROTEST: All
protests must be made in writing and delivered to a tournament
official within 30 minutes of the check-in time. The tournament director is the final authority in all considerations.
RELEASE OF
LIABILITY AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE: A waiver,release of liability,
and covenant not to sue are part of the entry form. It isrequired that all contestants take responsibility for themselves while participating in event activities.
RULE CHANGES: Rules interpretation is exclusively left to
the Tournament Director. The decisions of the Tournament Director are final
in all mattersand are not subject to appeal.
