THE RESULTS

Video by Mark Page

Thank you to everyone who participated.  This was the first time we put on a tournament of this type. As with any first time venture, there are always kinks in the system that will be worked out at next year's tournament.  We thank everyone for being patient with us and supportive of us.  We were totally blown away with the number of entrants for a first time event! There were 80+ kayaks in the pass on Sunday. Many of the CCA volunteers commented on how nice the participants were to each other and how much they helped one another.  But hey - that is the kayak fishing community - A bunch of really nice people!  Thank you for being flexible when the weather forced us to close the scales early, and gathering on the porch at Bridge Side for the awards presentation when the "other" red fish Rodeo had not vacate the pavillion in time for us to have our awards there.  Thanks also to everyone who helped a fellow kayak angler when in need or distress.
Congrats to all the winners and honorable mentions!  And a special Thank you to Chuck Hages who came all the way from Santa Barbara, CA to "Ride the Bull"!
Again, thank you all for your patience, support and good nature.  Hope to see you next year!
